By the time you are 15 weeks pregnant, your baby has grown considerably and it is a known fact that you are pregnant. You will not be able to fit into your regular clothes as your uterus will be expanding everyday. You are out of the most crucial part of the pregnancy and the chances of a miscarriage at this point of the pregnancy are very small. Your baby is about four inches long and is moving freely about the womb. She is beginning to develop her lungs and can move all her joints and limbs. She already has the fingerprints in all her hands and her legs are growing faster to catch up with the arms. She still cannot open her eyes as they are still developing but she will move towards the direction of the light whenever any light is shone towards her direction. She can respond to all other kinds of stimuli like temperature changes all around her and when you have an ultrasound, you will be able to notice if the baby in your womb is a boy or a girl. If you want to be told the gender of your baby, it is good to inform the professional performing the scan on you. When you do not, it is also wise to tell them in advance so that they do not ruin the surprise for you.

You will have gained some weight by now especially in your mid section. You will still have some of the symptoms of tiredness and the symptoms of the first trimester of pregnancy. For some women nausea and vomiting may go on for longer than expected. You may experience a stuffed up nose and some nose bleeding here and there. It is always good to consult a doctor when this happens so as to get the proper diagnosis.

You may want to go through amniocentesis to find out if your child has chromosomal problems or other conditions, which will be done at this stage. You will feel a little anxious at this time of the pregnancy for the health of the child and of course when you still do not know the gender of your baby and so forth.
